  • For as long as I can remember I have always been interested in health and fitness. It started when I was 8 years old and I would go with my mom to her aerobics classes at the YMCA. I would sit in the back and just watch, anticipating the time when I would be old enough to get a gym memebership. Fast forward to when I was 17 and I was in the gym every day after school lifting weights. I had no idea what I was doing but I started to teach myself as much as could by watching other people and reading every fitness magazine I could get my hand on. While all my friends were involved in sports I choose to walk a different path and do my own thing. I always wanted to be athletic so I tried to find sport but I just couldn’t commit to one. It felt too much like a chore to me. When I was in the gym, I felt comfortable. I felt like I belonged there. My competitive career started when I was 27 and I decided to enter my first body building competition. I immediately fell in love with the sport and I really enjoyed the challenges it brought on. It taught me how to be extremely disciplined in all aspects of my life. This was something that I lackedtremendously growing up. What started out as something fun to try, turned out to be something I was willing to commit my life to. If I was going to sacrifice all of my free time and give up some things I really loved I was goingto do whatever it took to make a career out of it. Over the next 6 years I’ve competed in 7 National shows, working my way up as a consecutive top 5 competitor. In November 2013 I earned my pro card in the IFBB Professional League at the NPC Nationals in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Although I am just getting started and I am still considered a rookie, 2014 proved to be very successful for me. The Europa Show of Champions in Phoenix Arizona is where I made my pro debut taking 8th place. Two weeks later I competed at the Kentucky Muscle in Louisville. I took 3rd place and began earning my spot in the 2015 Figure Olympia. Competing has led me to more opportunities than I thought could ever happen. I am living my dream of doing what I love and helping others realize they have what it takes to become the best within themselves. I am able to have a positive influence on people by simply living and doing what I have a heart for.
